Those interested in the plants at the gardens may be interested to know that over 50% of the plants at the gardens are native to Australia, in this way, the Botanic Gardens contribute to conservation efforts of Australia’s flora and fauna.

Facilities within the Botanic Gardens include playgrounds, toilets, BBQ facilities, a sports gound, cricket nets and walking tracks. Visitors can access the Botanic Gardens via Eastgate Drive off Firebrace Street.
