Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre

The Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre was established in 2008 to preserve Nhill’s rich history in aviation.

The museum, located at the former WWII Royal Australian Air Force Base, was specially established to commemorate the RAAF Air Station 1941-46 for generations to come.

Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre, Camping, Museum Prices & Opening Hours

Located halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne, Nhill was perfectly suited as the location for Victoria’s first official aerodrome. Nhill was also home to several aviation pioneers from 1919 through 1939.

Visitors get to learn all about the history of Australian aviation while getting a peek into stunning restored aircraft. These include the Tiger Moth, Avro Anson, Wirraway, and many other planes. Each October, the museum plays host to the Nhill Airshow; an event highly recommended for aviation enthusiasts.

Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre is located at the Nhill Aerodrome in Victoria. It’s open on weekends and public holidays from 10am to 4pm.
