Henty Estate

Henty Estate is a beautiful winery that is located in the Grampians township of Hamilton, around 3 hours west from Melbourne.

The estate was established in 1991 when the winery started off with vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Shiraz. A winery was built 12 years later, and the estate has since grown to produce some of the region’s finest wines.

The guiding philosophy at the estate is to combine quality at both the vineyard and the process of winemaking. It is for this reason that the wines are prepared using traditional techniques that include open fermentation, basket pressing and wine maturity in French oak.

Some of the award-winning wines from Henty Estate include Riesling 2012, Chardonnay 2011, Sophie’s Rose 2011, Edward Shiraz 2010 as well as the Wannon Run Shiraz 2010. It is little wonder that the estate was ranked as a 5-star winery in the James Halliday Australian Wine Competition. Henty Estate takes part in many functions, ranging from dinners to weekend festivals and tourist events.

The estate is not open for public visits, but orders may be made on phone and via mail. The estate’s online shop stocks the aforementioned wines, alongside various stockists in the region. One may order online too and deliveries are made.
