Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival

The Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival was created in 1995 to celebrate rock’n’roll music, and today is one of Australia’s longest-running festivals.

At this family-friendly festival, you will find great music, fantastic fashion, classic cars and motorcycles, dancing, and so much more!

The Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival is run by a dedicated team of volunteers with the support of the Ararat Rural City Council. Celebrating the 50’s and 60’s, the festival draws thousands of people to Ararat annually.

Saturday will kick off at the Alexandra Oval from 10am with hot rods, cool bikes, bands playing great live music and plenty of dancing. There will also be a dance competition, a beer garden and a car cruise from 2pm. The party will continue right into the night with bands kicking off again at 7pm with live music and plenty of social dancing under the stars.

Sunday will also have live rock’n’roll music, children’s entertainment, food stalls, BBQ, Jailhouse Show’n’Shine and a fun fashion parade.
