Grampians Art Galleries & Museums, Opening Hours & Entry Prices, VIC

The Brambuk Cultural Centre is notable for being the Aboriginal peoples’ oldest cultural centre. Visitors from all over visit to learn about their traditions and culture through exhibits housed in a structure recognised for its architecture. Be sure to check out the schedule of events during your visit to catch a delightful show of Aboriginal dance or didgeridoo performance.

The Murtoa Stick Shed is a cultural and historic destination located along the Wimmera Plains. What makes it notable is that it once served as a grain storage facility back in the 1940s, and today is one of the last remaining pieces of Australian rural vernacular heritage. It is undoubtedly one of the most unique Grampians museums, so make sure to visit not just for its interesting interiors but also for its historical significance.

The Sir Reginald Ansett Transport Museum near Lake Hamilton is dedicated to Reg Ansett; a transport pioneer in Australia. The museum, located in the original aircraft hanger of Ansett, houses over 1,000 objects that once belonged to Ansett Airlines. The incredible memorabilia on display are a fascinating way to learn about Sir Reg Ansett and his contribution to transport in Australia. Just some of the highlights in the museum include the Boeing 727 wheel, a Studebaker, a set of flight attendant uniforms, and much more.

A visit to Grampians galleries is not complete without stopping by the Rupanyup Silo Art Trail – the largest outdoor gallery in Australia. It features six wheat silos paintings created by talented artists from all over the world. These murals are among the most photographed in the Grampians, and for a good reason!

Other renowned Galleries & museums include the Stawell Gift Hall of Fame, Australian Pinball Museum, Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre, Hamilton Art Gallery, and the J Ward Museum Complex, among others.

With all kinds of art and culture to feast on, you’ll be in for an inspiring trip.
