Grampians Texture Festival

Set in the magnificent backdrop of the Grampians, the township of Halls Gap presents the Grampians Texture Festival, a one-of-a-kind event.

Grampians Texture is an annual workshop series for fibre artists and provides an opportunity to participate in workshops suitable for beginners and experienced artists.

We are delighted to announce the program for Grampians Textures, which will be held in March 2026. The program will feature 19 leading Australian and international textile tutors teaching two, four, and six-day workshops in venues across Halls Gap and Pomonal.

Many textile and fibre enthusiasts head to the scenic township of Halls Gap to participate in this wonderful event. Visitors can also check out the varied collections of fabrics and clothes on display and participate in the workshops offered.

There are weekend workshops (2 days), weekly workshops (4 days), and masterclasses (6 days) for those who wish to hone their skills in the following disciplines: felt making, embroidery, jewellery, sculpture, weaving, dyeing, macrame, knitting, and more.

GrampianArts Market Place

Call into Hall Gap Community Hub to buy at GrampianArts Market Place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect to find delicious products for textile and other artists to create with: fibre, yarns, books, fabrics, hand-made papers, and vintage kimonos. These products are exotic, beautiful, unusual, and delightful. Not all traders/sellers will be there the whole time, but all will be there for the weekend and Monday morning.

Grampians Texture Twilight Makers Market

​Saturday will be at the Halls Gap Community Centre at the Grampian Arts Market Place. The tutors and students participating in Grampians Texture will make a wide range of quality handicrafts. Expect to find clothing, jewellery, paper, books, and more, all handmade and hand-created, recycled, and upcycled!!! Buy direct from the artist.

After a busy day, explore the local attractions of the scenic town of Halls Gap and its neighbourhood. You can take a sightseeing or scenic driving tour to visit all the popular attractions and picturesque areas the town offers.
