The Fireworld Streatham CFA Museum and Discovery Centre is the educational arm and museum of the Country Fire Authority or the CFA.

The CFA is the firefighting service that also assists in other types of emergency services in the areas of Victoria, as well as in other parts of Melbourne.

At the museum, kids and adults alike can come to learn about the CFA branches including the Fire Brigades and Coast Guard Brigades. These all play an important role in protecting the community from hazardous accidents. Aside from that, the CFA is also notable because it is one of the world’s biggest volunteer-based firefighting organisations, serving over 3.3 million people located in more than 150,000 square kilometres.

On display at the Fireworld Streatham CFA Museum and Discovery Centre are heritage fire trucks, some of which were used during large fires years ago. Visitors will get to learn all about how fire trucks have evolved through the decades. It also features a unique display of how the CFA used radio communication in the past.
