The Hamilton Showgrounds is a 12-hectare venue that hosts a variety of community events throughout the year.
Located less than a kilometre away from the Hamilton CBD, some of the popular events that take place here include dog shows, Trash and Treasure Markets, Relay for Life, Social Club Events, fairs, and many more.

Sheepvention is the most popular event taking place at the showgrounds. This annual event takes place over three days and showcases a wide variety of products from food and fashion to entertainment.
There are several venue spaces within the showgrounds. The Atrium features a 40x50m glassed entry foyer which is usually reserved for pre-event functions, refreshments, displays, or registration. The Atrium provides access to all other function rooms.
The Dundas & Napier Rooms are 9.5x15m in size and can accommodate up to 150 patrons sitting down or theatre style, as well as 110 seating in round tables. The Dundas & Napier Rooms are divided by an acoustic retractable wall, but once the wall is removed, both rooms are combined which double the capacity. Function Room 3 is 25x15m large and is separated from the Napier Room via a retractable wall.
The Hamilton Showgrounds is equipped with a kitchen and bar, which can serve all function rooms. The kitchen is outfitted with a commercial dishwasher, preparation benches, three gas ovens, storage space, and a refrigerator, while the bar is equipped with a glass washer, storage, and refrigerator.
