The most notable plant collection at the arboretum, commonly referred to as simply ‘The Points’, are Eucalyptus trees that are native to Australia. Other plants thrive in the area, largely due to the diverse soil types at the arboretum.

The Peter Francis Points Arboretum is a beautiful and laid-back location, making it suitable for picnicking. Simply carry the basics: food, a picnic blanket and some good company and you are good to go. Alternatively, you can make use of the picnic tables available and have a BBQ at the facilities provided.

Outdoor lovers will enjoy taking a walk across the numerous walking trails that dot the arboretum, all the while enjoying the flora that is unique to ‘The Points’. With over 4kms of walking trails, all with various degrees of difficulty, there is the perfect walking trail for everyone.

Other facilities at Peter Francis Points Arboretum include toilets (including wheelchair accessible), ample parking for cars and buses as well as a playground to keep the kids occupied during the visit. Please also note that fires are prohibited across the arboretum and tap water available is unsuitable for drinking.
