Whether you enjoy a deep red, fine sparkling, or refreshing floral white, the area’s numerous wineries have been specialising in these wines for decades now. Each year, more awards are given to the winemakers of the Pyrenees; proof that the wine here is simply among the world’s best. Aside from that, they also offer incredible cellar door experiences so that you can try just about every kind of wine on offer.

There are over 30 cellar doors to explore in the Pyrenees Wine Region. Come and sample varieties including cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, sparkling wines, and so much more while indulging in cheese, meats, and local produce. All of that is to be enjoyed while you feast your eyes on spectacular scenery of the nearby mountain ranges and valleys.

Some of the cellar doors are also open to private events including weddings, so if you’re looking for a place to celebrate a milestone or special occasion, look no further than one of the wineries here. Barbecue and picnic facilities, accommodations, and boutique wine experiences all await you here.

If you are visiting in April, don’t miss the Pyrenees Unearthed Wine and Food Festival; one of the best wine festivals in the area. Nearby, there are several historic townships and traditional pubs to explore during your stay. Some notable wineries to explore include Grape Farm Winery, DogRock Winery, Gwynnyth Vineyard, St Ignatius Vineyard, and the Taltarni Winery and Vineyard.
