Splitters Falls is a serene seasonal waterfall located close to Halls Gap within the Grampians.

The best time to visit the falls is during Spring, which is when wildflowers come alive to decorate the surroundings. In Summer, the falls may be dry.

To get here, visitors pass through a 700-meter walking track that is laid out over rugged terrain. The trail is easy to follow so there’s no need to worry about getting lost here. You’ll pass a gorge and some stairs before you continue the trek alongside a creek. You will see a sign directing you to turn off from the track to get to the falls.

Splitters Falls can be accessed from both the Wonderland Carpark, as well as the Halls Gap Botanic Gardens. The walk from Wonderland Carpark is the easiest route as it’s just 700 meters one way. The Halls Gap Botanic Gardens is 2.3 kilometres one way, and though it’s longer and a moderate walk, you get to see the stunning Venus Baths as well.

You might want to consider wearing gumboots and protective clothing as you trek to Splitters Falls. The right shoes will certainly come in handy especially after the rain has just passed.
