Standing at 802 meters tall, the mountain makes up part of the Northern Grampians, alongside other ridges. The Sundial Peak Track is a popular 4km trail, with picturesque views. Ideal for kids and adults alike, the family-friendly trail offers several activities including picnicking, trail running, walking, and bird watching.

Summitting the peak is another favourite pastime of bushwalkers. It takes around 2.5 to 3 hours to complete, for a total of 6.4km. The trail will take you past many beautiful vantage points of the valley beneath you, and there is also less traffic here compared to nearby popular hikes; including the Grand Canyon.

If you’re looking for a great day outdoors with the family, the Sundial Peak area is highly recommended. Simply park at the Sundial Carpark and follow the signs.
