Hamilton Cup

The Hamilton Cup is a 2200m horse race held in October at the Hamilton Racecourse in the Grampians.

The richness of the land on which the racecourse is located offers a breathtakingly beautiful background for the races as the lush greenery blends effortlessly with the blue sky.

The Hamilton Cup is a fun racing event for the whole family, with punters coming along to bet on their favourite horse and hope they pick a winner. Suitable for families, the cup is held at a typical country track, which means that casual attire is perfectly acceptable, as well as picnics (no BYO alcohol).

Many people come to the Hamilton Cup with friends and family, as there are many fun things to enjoy whilst at the course. Apart from betting on the races, there is also Fashion on the Fields events, live music and heaps of free entertainment for the kids.

Plenty of food is for sale at the Hamilton Racecourse and drinks, including some local wines and beers. There is an on-course bar and tote facilities, so you never have to leave the trackside.

The racecourse is located on Henty Highway in Hamilton and is easily accessible from towns around the Grampians.

Free shuttle buses will run from the Hamilton Town Centre with pickup points from the Cally Hotel and the Hamilton PAC. Running from 11.30am – 2pm continuous then from 4pm return.
