It’s a great destination for families and friends to come and have a picnic. The best time to come is during the late afternoon when it’s less hot and you get to watch the sunset. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes as you head to the lookout. Pack some picnic blankets, food, and drinks, and you’re set.

Big Hill Lookout is only one of the many picturesque viewpoints around Stawell.

History and culture buffs will appreciate a trip to the Stawell Gold Mine, the Stawell Cultural Heritage Trail, the Bujil Shelter, Town Hall Clock, and the Stawell Railway Station Gallery. Have a taste of Victoria by dropping by the numerous wineries, too!

Big Hill Lookout is located at Scenic Rd in Stawell.
