For visitors, the main street of town is an elegant destination, great for spending a few days relaxing and unwinding. The primary strip has been transformed into a beautiful park, often attracting families with kids.

Lake Nhill is one of the most popular attractions here; it’s home to exciting outdoor activities including boating, picnicking, and bird watching.

For those interested in aviation, history, or both, check out the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre, which was once a WWII Royal Australian Air Force base. This one-of-a-kind aviation museum is an interesting place to learn all about restored aircraft and the local history; you’ll also get to see old models such as the Tiger Moth, Avro Anson, and the Wirraway. If you visit in October, be sure to check out the Nhill Airshow which takes place here each year.

The Karen Museum is another notable museum. Situated in the garage of Tha Haser’s home, what makes this museum unique is its grassroots display, detailing the gruelling journey of the Karen refugees who left Myanmar to resettle in town. In fact, around 8% of the local population are Karen descendants. Before that, many of them had to spend time in camps situated on the border of Thailand and Myanmar.

The Australian Pinball Museum in Nhill is a fun destination where you can explore an impressive display of pinball machines from many genres and eras. Entrance is free of charge, and visitors are welcome to play on many of the pinball machines.

If you are looking for a place to stay, there are quite a few accommodation options available that include a caravan park, motels and even camping.
