It is located along the Wimmera Highway, around 6.8km from the main St Arnaud township.

Improvements have been seen in the taxiway and runway surfaces, line makers, sealing and re-sheeting of the internal access road. These works were important to ensure comfort and safety for the patients and the community.
St Arnaud Airport is operated by the Northern Grampian Shire Council.
