Grampians Waterfalls

Apart from the majestic mountain ranges, the Grampians also houses an array of splendid waterways across the gorgeous landscape. Vacationers to this area should make sure they check out the beautiful and varied waterfalls in the Grampians.

Many of the waterfalls in the Grampians are only a short walk and have defined walking trails which range from easy to moderate in difficulty. The tranquil setting that greets you at the end of your walk will certainly be worth the effort.

Grampians Waterfalls – Attractions, Swimming & Walks




There are a number of waterfalls located within the Grampians National Park; including MacKenzie Falls, Silverband Falls and Wannon Falls. Due to regular rainfall, MacKenzie Falls is the only all-year-round flowing waterway in the entire region. This is why it is the most popular of the falls located in this region.

Picnickers can also come to the waterfalls for an enjoyable day out. Visitors from nearby cities can take a driving tour to the picnic grounds at the waterfall area and spend a day relaxing in the shade.

Activity choices are many with a range of tours and hiking choices in and around the falls. Rock climbing enthusiasts and day trippers often prefer to come to the falls for bushwalking and hiking experiences.

Explore the enchanting landscape housing many wildflower plants and ferny bushes and enjoy a walk across the stony landscape near to the various waterfalls. They are truly a beautiful attraction in the Grampians.
