Some of the many beautiful tree species found here include the yellow gym, black box, and slender cypress pine among many others. There are also certain pockets within the park that are home to an incredible, colourful orchid selection.

Around 90 hectares of the reserve serves as a butterfly sanctuary, so if you’re lucky you may be able to get a glimpse of these vibrant winged creatures fluttering about.

Overall, if you are looking for an escape within nature not too far away from Nhill, the Kiata Flora & Fauna Reserve is highly recommended.

With lots of outdoor space to enjoy, this is a safe spot for immersing in nature. For those interested in camping, the campgrounds in the desert are the ideal location.
